Our History

Areteion Medicals has a historically important presence in the trade of medical supplies as one of the first companies in its sector in the Greek market. The first establishment of the company takes place in 1903 with the main trade in surgical instruments and glassware. In 1967, the company's continuous effort to improve the quality of patient healthcare led to its first official and exclusive partnership, with the French leading company in high-tech consumable medical devices, Vygon. That time period marks the company's shift into the medical consumables industry. Today, Areteion Medicals is the exclusive distributor of two companies for the Greek market, including Vygon, with which it maintains a long-term partnership of at least 55 years.
